A full-day educational forum on the growing—and shocking—problem of human trafficking will be held Friday, Sept. 26, from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, at the Health Enhancement Center on the campus of Dignity Health St. Mary Medical Center, 1050 Linden Ave.
On Friday, September 19, 2014, Governor Brown signed AB 1525 by Assemblymember Bonnie Lowenthal into State law. This bill was sponsored by the City of Long Beach and allows City Clerks to perform marriages, thus enhancing civic engagement in the process.
