The Long Beach Zen Meditation Group hosts Zen and The Art of Living Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the Neighborhood United Methodist Church. Zen master Charles Tenshin Fletcher, Roshi is abbot of the Yokoji Zen Mountain Center and the inspiration for the Long Beach Zen Meditation Group.

The Yokoji-Zen Mountain Center will launch a regular Zen meditation program in Long Beach. The first meeting is planned for Saturday, April 10 in the East Village.
Starting at 8 a.m. there will be basic meditation instruction, followed by meditation until 9 a.m.
This Thursday, Charles Tenshin Fletcher, Roshi, the abbot of Yokoji-Zen Mountain Center (YZMC), will discuss Zen practice at a free public talk at the Unitarian Universalist Church of Long Beach. YZMC is planning to open a Zen center in Long Beach to offer resources to those who are interested in meditation and Buddhism.
