California Repertory Company (Cal Rep) at California State University, Long Beach announces the opening of its 2016-2017 season with Arthur Miller’s A View from the Bridge, directed by CSULB alumnus Jeff Paul. The Broadway production of A View from the Bridge recently received the 2016 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play.
CSULB’s California Repertory Company proudly presents the World Premiere of Mutual Consent, written by Nancy Bell and Peter Grandbois and directed by Anne Justine D’Zmura. Opening on Valentine’s Day weekend and running through February 21st, Mutual Consent explores what it means to be in a true romantic relationship in today’s society.

With this production set in 2000, the director, Gavin Cameron-Webb aims to look back at life during that time while still bringing out the laughs in the piece.

Albee’s award-winning tragic comedy tells the story of Martin, a compassionate family man and successful architect, whose earth-shattering secret affair is revealed in a letter to his wife, Stevie, and son, Billy, by his best friend, Ross.
California Repertory Company is pleased to announce the appointment of Anne Justine D’Zmura as Artistic Director and Department Chair of Theatre Arts, beginning in the 2013-2014 academic year. D’Zmura previously served as Head of Directing at Cal State Long Beach and recently directed the Cal Rep’s acclaimed production of The Thugs.
California State University Long Beach Theatre Arts Department hosts its annual TheatreFest competition Friday, April 12th, and Saturday, April 13th, in and around the Theatre Arts building on CSULB campus. More than twenty high schools from LA and Orange Counties will participate in the event.
