On Friday, May 3rd, the Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride & The Center Long Beach hosted the 3rd Annual Evening with Mayor Bob Foster in Celebration of the 30th Annual Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride Festival. At the event, Long Beach Mayor, Bob Foster recognized the founders of Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride by presenting them with the key to the City.

For the fifth consecutive year Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) donated a portion of its profits from The Pink Party to the Center Long Beach’s Youth Program.
The Center Long Beach and alternative fine art gallery, Flazh!Alley Art Studio, San Pedro – in partnership with the Beijing LGBT Center – will be presenting the U.S. premiere of the paper cutting masterpieces of Beijing artist Xiyadie (pronounced Zhee-yá-dee), beginning April 29 and continuing through July 14, 2012.
The Center Long Beach is proud to announce its 30th Birthday Beach Bash. The event will be held on July 31st from 5pm – 10 pm at Alfredo’s Beach Club on the beach (Ocean and Granada). The evening will start with a sunset happy hour with drinks and snacks, followed by a full barbeque dinner.
L’Opera Ristorante in Downtown Long Beach announced today that it will extend its special 20th Anniversary Sampling Menu offering by popular demand. The award-winning restaurant will also partner with the Center Long Beach, donating a portion of Friday proceeds through July in support of the organization, which serves the local gay and lesbian community.
The City of Long Beach Human Dignity Assistance Team in coordination with The Center Long Beach, youth, and numerous local partners will host an educational forum for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, and questioning youth (LGBTQ) and their allies.
