The Environmental Protection Agency has announced that the Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network is a recipient of an American Recovery and Reinvestment Act job-training grant totaling $452,212 to train low-income residents in skills that can lead to a Green-Jobs Career Pathway ladder.
The Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Board has been named as one of 11 regional California Green Job Corps pilot programs in the State: Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger announced yesterday that its Network was the recipient of $935,797 of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funding.
Last month The Conservation Corps of Long Beach (CCLB) announced the honoring of Signal Hill Council Member Larry Forster with the 2009 Founder’s Award. This recognition will be awarded at the 17th Annual Dine on Pine, being held, Monday, July 13, 2009.
