Long Beach Day of Service
On Monday, January 19, several Long Beach community and city organizations are joining together for a community service project at a North Long Beach urban farm to make it a “Day On, not a Day Off” in honor of the MLK National Day of Service.

On Monday, January 21 at several sites around the city, Long Beach residents can honor the life and principles supported by Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. through a ‘Day of Service.’ In coordination with the Mayor’s Office, City of Long Beach Office of Sustainability, GreenLB and Leadership Long Beach, residents are able to volunteer their efforts toward their neighborhood and surrounding communities in service activities on the national holiday observing the life of Dr.
