After a frantic Black Friday, customers are encouraged to enjoy the artisans and entrepreneurs that call Downtown Long Beach home for Small Business Saturday. A joint venture of the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) and the East Village shops, the Downtown Long Beach Small Business Saturday celebration on November 29 will feature a Makers Mart, live music, shop discounts, a photo booth, free bike valet and more.

The Found Theatre is pleased to offer a performance of its hit show, “Here Comes Cinderella!” as a benefit for the Long Beach Depot for Creative Reuse, one of Long Beach’s most innovative and socially responsible non-profits.
Artists who utilize, in any manner, sound in their work are invited to submit to the Tenth Annual SoundWalk event to be held in Long Beach CA on Saturday, October 5, 2013.
Now in its tenth and final year, SoundWalk, is an annual Long Beach art event produced by the artist group FLOOD.

At an previous event, hungry guests sampled the cuisine on Pine Avenue. This time, a Taste of Downtown Long Beach will be served in the East Village.
On June 8 and 9, 2011 from 6 to 9 p.m. the Taste of Downtown returns to the East Village Arts District with two evenings of delicious food that will tantalize taste buds, accompanied by festive live music and art displays.
The nation’s first Bike-Friendly Business Districts were launched Wednesday, June 1, 2011 in Long Beach, to encourage merchants and customers to benefit from choosing bikes, not cars, for short trips.
The Bike-Friendly Business Districts operate under the premise that businesses are looking for ways to reach and retain customers, and customers are looking for ways to shop, dine, and run errands as conveniently and pleasurably as possible.
