Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine (PRM) has been awarded a $553,000 grant to renovate MacArthur Park, 1321 E Anaheim St. The funding comes from the California Department of Housing and Community Development Housing-Related Parks (HRP) grant program, which creates incentives and rewards local governments for building affordable housing to fund much-needed parks in their communities.
Waste Management and The Long Beach International City Bank Marathon & Half Marathon have teamed up to help runners transform lives by repurposing their old running shoes.
