Community Tree-Planting Event Scheduled For MLK National Day of Service

08 tree-planting event Alumni members from the 2008 Leadership Long Beach Institute program carried out the tree-planting task as part of their community service project component for the completion of the program. Over 200 volunteers, including Leadership Long Beach classmates and alumni, local residents, council members, City of Long Beach staffers, cub scouts, boy scouts, students, artists, and business owners, showed up for the tree planting on Saturday, April 26, 2008.
