Patients at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach are benefiting from the implementation of the Crafty Kids Club, a new club started by a local Girl Scout earning her Gold Award.
Audrey See, a senior in the PACE magnet program at Long Beach Poly has been a Girl Scout since she was six years old.
Girl Scout, Elisabeth Figueroa-Santana, and the Hughes Middle School Green Team Eco-club will team up with Goodwill, Serving the People of Southern Los Angeles County (Goodwill SOLAC) to host a Used-Clothing Drive at Hughes Middle School, 3846 California Avenue from 10am to 1pm.

Everyone looks forward to the time of the year when Girl Scout cookies are being sold, but Girl Scouts troops 1770 and 1987 – from Landell Elementary School in Cypress – made a special donation from their cookie funds to build customized Build-A-Bear® teddy bears for patients at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach.
Patients at Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach are playing and listening to music this afternoon after the hospital received a donation of musical instruments from a local Long Beach Girl Scout worth more than $1,800.
Girl Scout’s Cookie season officially kicked off on January 16 and girls across the country donned their green uniforms and began their door-to-door quest. Girl Scouts are taking pre-orders now; cookies will be delivered February 18–24 and pop-up cookie booths will show up around February 26.
Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske announced today the new date for the Community Baby Shower. The Community Baby Shower will take place Wednesday May 20th at the City of Long Beach Health and Human Services Department, located at 2525 Grand Avenue.
