Southern California’s first gay-identified Toastmasters Club, Speak Out!, will kick-off its 10th anniversary on Saturday, June 15 at 7pm at The Long Beach Gay and Lesbian Center with a special anniversary meeting and club reunion.
On Sunday, May 15th Artful Thinking’s Out at the Movies is proud to present the theatrical premier of TEACH YOUR CHILDREN WELL at the Art Theatre of Long Beach, CA with a very special guest appearance by the Award winning Actress and Comedian Lily Tomlin, who narrates the film.

Ray Boltz and Azariah Southworth, two former key players in the Christian music world, continue their national “Living True: the tour” with two performances in Long Beach. On Sunday, May 9, Christ Chapel of Long Beach will host the tour at 10:00 a.m.
The 3rd Annual Pink Party is set to kick-off Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride weekend on Friday, May 14 at 7 p.m. on Pine Avenue between Broadway and Third Street, where an expanded venue will accommodate enhanced entertainment and an anticipated record-breaking crowd.
The City of Long Beach Human Dignity Assistance Team in coordination with The Center Long Beach, youth, and numerous local partners will host an educational forum for gay, lesbian, bi-sexual, transgender, and questioning youth (LGBTQ) and their allies.
Last week, Long Beach Lesbian & Gay Pride (LBLGP) announced that it had awarded more than $40,000 in Pride Grants to ten other nonprofit organizations. Each year, LBLGP awards Pride Grants based on a competitive application process.
The Surf and Sun Softball League of Long Beach/Orange County announce the beginning of the Fall Ball 2009 playing season. This year Fall Ball will begin with an open invitation to a “Play Day” for all who are interested in learning the game and meeting others in the community with a desire to play softball.
The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) will produce the 2nd Annual Pink Party on Friday, May 15th from 7-11 pm to kick off Long Beach Lesbian and Gay Pride.
The event will take place on Pine Avenue, with a stage, live entertainment and a dance floor in the street.
