Long Beach Good Neighbor Festival
The Seventh Annual Good Neighbor Festival and Picnic on Saturday, September 28 will start off with a splash with the appearance of the Aquarium on Wheels provided by the Long Beach Aquarium of the Pacific. The event will feature games, 45 booths for various community non-profit organizations and city departments, pie and watermelon eating contests, bounce house, face painting, free hot-dogs, shaved ice, and more.
Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske has announced that those who attend the September 29th Good Neighbor Festival and Picnic have several opportunities to win two roundtrip Jet Blue airline tickets or a number of other prizes.
Parents can ensure that their child seats are properly installed at the Fifth District’s largest annual event, the 6th Annual Good Neighbor Festival on September 29. The Car Seat Safety Check is a free service offered by appointment only, so residents are encouraged to call or email to reserve their space.
Long Beach residents of the Fifth District Council District are invited to get their cell phones and cameras ready to photograph what makes them love the neighborhood in which they live.
“It’s part of our annual Good Neighbor Festival and Picnic,” says Schipske who started the event 6 years ago.
