February is the month to “Share the Love” and the Green Team Clubs of Longfellow Elementary & Hughes Middle school are hosting their annual “Share the Love” Community Used Clothing Drive.
The Long Beach Hughes Middle School Green Team Club is hosting, and invites nature lovers of all ages to to participate in, the 17th annual “Great Backyard Bird Count” (GBBC), at the Dominquez Gap Wetlands, in Long Beach, on Sunday, November 16, from 10:00-11:30 a.m.

Today, Mayor Bob Foster and Councilmember James Johnson, 7th District, topped off the 600-foot-long Great Wall of Mulch, which is believed to be the only Mulch Wall constructed in the United States.
