A joint venture of the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) and the East Village shops, the Downtown Long Beach Small Business Saturday celebration on November 29 will feature a Makers Mart, live music, shop discounts, a photo booth, free bike valet and more.

Patients and members of the Long Beach Fire Department parade through the halls ofMiller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach picking up treats at different hospital departments. Spirits were high Friday at Miller Children’s & Women’s Hospital Long Beach where more than 50 patients and their families, each accompanied by a member of the Long Beach Fire Department (LBFD), trick-or-treated through the halls.

Long Beach Symphony Association and Musicians Union Agree on New Contract

long-beach-symphony The Long Beach Symphony Association and Local Musicians Union 353 recently announced that they have successfully negotiated a new two-year contract agreement effective July 1, 2014 through June 30, 2016. The labor agreement, approved unanimously by the Association’s Board of Directors provides an increase in rate of pay for all 83 professional musician positions and a guaranteed 37 services per year, the same as in this current season.
