Long Beach Enters Stage 1 Water Supply Shortage, First in City’s History

water use down in long beach The Long Beach Board of Water Commissioners declared a Stage 1 Water Supply Shortage Thursday that will put into effect a two-day per week landscape watering schedule on Mondays and Thursdays until the end of March 2015. Three-day per week landscape watering will resume in the summer months from April 1st, 2015 to September 30th, 2015.

Armed Man Shot by Police During Missing Person Investigation

crime-scene-tape-lg On November 21, 2014, Long Beach Police were dispatched to the 2300 block of Eucalyptus Avenue to assist in locating a missing female juvenile. During the investigation, an officer involved shooting occurred which resulted in the death of a male adult.

Jim Stangeland, Former LBCC Football Head Coach, Passes Away at the Age of 92

Stangeland is a member of the LBCC Hall of Champions, Long Beach State Hall of Fame, Long Beach Century Club Hall of Fame, and the California Community College Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame.
