City of Long Beach Recognized By White House For Efforts to End Veterans Homelessness

city-of-long-beach Mayor Robert Garcia today presented on the City of Long Beach’s work to end Veterans Homelessness, at the White House’s Veterans Homelessness Summit, where the City of Long was recognized for its outstanding efforts. Since December 2015, every Veteran who has experienced homelessness in Long Beach is offered a path to permanent housing.

Mayor Calls for Special Council Study Session on Homelessness

City Awarded a Total of $6.9 Million from Feds to Fight Homelessness

Access to Shelter The City of Long Beach has been awarded an additional $765K from the federal government to provide services to individuals and families who are experiencing homelessness in the City of Long Beach, bringing the total annual award to $6.9 million.
