Long Beach JetBlue
Southwest Airlines will be temporarily adding new service out of Long Beach Airport (LGB), utilizing unused flight slots allocated to JetBlue. The airline has requested and been granted the temporary reallocation of two to three flights, and will maintain compliance with the City’s Airport Noise Compatibility Ordinance.
Southern California skies will fill with pilots heading to Long Beach Airport (LGB) for a 90th Anniversary Fly-In on Saturday, Nov. 16, from 11 am to 3 pm. The public is also welcome to attend this free event where local pilots display their planes to the community.

JetBlue Airways (NASDAQ: JBLU) has received Federal Aviation Administration approval to give all pilots custom-equipped iPads that will add more real-time capabilities in the cockpit and save fuel by eliminating the heavy paper manuals that all pilots carry.
In 2009, Kaboom helped volunteers build this playground in The Village at Cabrillo. This week, they will team up to build a new playground at the Fairfield Family YMCA.

Long Beach Airport (LGB) is pleased to announce the swift allocation of the three open Flight Slots to JetBlue Airways, Delta Air Lines, and US Airways. The three airlines submitted requests for over twice as many slots than were available.

Just this month Long Beach Airport welcomed Allegiant Air’s inaugural flight, and already the airline is announcing two new travel offerings for passengers.
Allegiant will offer service between Long Beach and Colorado Springs (COS), Colorado, beginning September 15, 2010.
Long Beach Airport (LGB) celebrated its newest air carrier, Allegiant, in grand style on July 1, 2010. Allegiant’s inaugural flight from Bellingham, WA (BLI) arrived at 5:05 p.m. to an aviation industry tradition, a water cannon salute.
