The City of Long Beach is helping connect residents to part-time and full-time positions as part of the company’s effort to hire 1,400 employees for Vons, Albertsons, and Pavilions stores across Southern California.
The Long Beach Police Department and Civil Service Department will host a law enforcement career fair on Saturday, June 27, 2015. Learn about career opportunities with the Long Beach Police Department, including Police Recruit, Public Safety Dispatcher (9-1-1 operators), Special Services Officer, and positions in the area of Forensics.

Councilwoman Lena Gonzalez and Pacific Gateway Workforce Investment Network will host a job fair to connect residents with local employers looking to hire. The event will take place on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at 9:00 am at the Long Beach Convention Center – Seaside Ballroom, 300 Ocean Boulevard; enter through Seaside Way.

When Cal State Long Beach (CSULB) Business Professor Thomas Rhoads retired at the end of the 2009-10 academic year, he ended an astonishing record of 54 consecutive years of family service to the university – 37 of his and 17 for his father, who was also a faculty member in the campus’ College of Business Administration (CBA).
