Councilmember Steven Neal is inviting the public to the Long Beach Job Summit, entitled “Getting Back To Work: A Summit on Job Creation in Long Beach” Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Hotel Maya. The purpose of the summit is to facilitate a conversation on responsible job creation in Long Beach.
The Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles (LAFLA) and The Children’s Clinic, “Serving Children and Their Families” (TCC) in Long Beach have formed the Greater Long Beach Medical-Legal Partnership to provide an integrated approach to health-related, legal challenges faced by low-income individuals and families in their everyday lives, particularly in the areas of housing, family law and public benefits.

Do you or someone you know have a criminal record that needs to be cleared? If so, you’ll want to attend the Expungement Education Workshop, March 20 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McBride Park. City officials will be on hand to show to request that either an adult or juvenile record be expunged.
