On Sunday, November 23rd, more than 200 Saint Anthony High School volunteer students and their parents joined together to serve more than 600 meals to homeless and less fortunate families in the courtyard of St. Anthony High School in downtown Long Beach.
Abandoning his sleigh for a trip to Parkers’ Lighthouse via a Spirit Cruises Yacht, Old St. Nicholas is due to arrive at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, December 6th for an annual benefit that has become a favorite tradition at Parkers’ Lighthouse over the more than 20 years that the restaurant has been hosting Santa’s Breakfast.

Governor Jerry Brown announced Monday that he is appointing Long Beach Community College District (LBCCD) Superintendent-President Eloy Ortiz Oakley to the University of California (UC) Board of Regents.
On Friday, the Community College Association (CCA), the bargaining unit that represents Long Beach City College (LBCC) full-time faculty, approved a three-year contract agreement with Long Beach Community College District (LBCCD).

U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker today announced that she has selected Long Beach City College (LBCC) Executive Vice President Lou Anne Bynum to serve on the National Advisory Council on Innovation and Entrepreneurship (NACIE).
