In the month of August, the California Heights Farmers Market and Gourmet Conspiracy are proud to present Chef Jason Stein of Parker’s Lighthouse as the featured Chef for the August 22nd “Chefs at the Market” event.
The Long Beach Sunday Market in California Heights will host the All Day Read today, Sunday, March 7, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Book Week is the annual celebration of literature organized by the Long Beach Public Library Foundation. Come listen to The Soloist being read aloud in the family friendly atmosphere of the Long Beach Sunday Market, located on the playground of Longfellow Elementary School.
The Long Beach Sunday Market on the Longfellow playground has been open now, for three months! We started with 3 farmers and a small food court, and have grown substantially in a short time. We now have 12 farmers who bring us a brilliant variety of seasonal produce, fresh cut flowers, juice, nursery stock (plants and shrubs) and fresh eggs.
Sam Paano of Gourmet Conspiracy, will host a cooking demonstration this Sunday at the Long Beach Sunday Market in California Heights at 11:00 a.m.
Chef Panno will launch the latest market activity with a quick shopping spree and a chat with the farmers, followed by a demonstration of a couple of preparation methods using the market produce.
Celebrity Chef and anti-obesity activist Jamie Oliver was recently given the opportunity to make one wish to change the world as the 2010 TED prizewinner. That wish? “I wish for your help to create a strong, sustainable movement to educate every child about food, inspire families to cook again and empower people everywhere to fight obesity.”

Dramatic Results, an amazing art studio located right here in Cal Heights will be hosting a “make and take” booth on the first Sunday of every month.

“Road Stoves” or gourmet taco trucks will set up shop at the Long Beach Sunday Market located in California Heights this weekend. The event this Sunday, December 27, will be the farmer’s market debut of Baby’s Badass Burgers, a hot pink catering rig serving up burgers and dogs.
