On Monday the office of Council Member Robert Garcia and the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) announced that the Molina Family will serve as Grand Marshal, and local artist Gregorio Luke will be honored as Community Marshal at the 3rd Annual Latin American Parade & Festival on Saturday, September 10, 2011.
Councilmember Robert Garcia, in collaboration with the Arts Council for Long Beach, the Molina family, and the community non-profit group We Love Long Beach, has organized the creation of 17 murals at the vacant Press-Telegram lofts, at 6th Street and Pine Avenue, to take place the weekend of June 12 and 13.
