Approximately 300 community members participated in the recent Long Beach Health Care Symposium, hosted by Molina Healthcare and Mayor Robert Garcia. The event brought together industry leaders, local businesses and community-based organizations to provide a platform to begin discussing the state of health care in the city.

Vice Mayor Robert Garcia will be presenting the State of the First District on Wednesday, July 31 at 6:00 pm, at the new Molina Healthcare Offices in North Pine, 604 Pine Avenue.
On Sunday, September 8, 2013, the Aquarium of the Pacific will host its second annual Molina 5K Run/Walk along the panoramic shoreline waterfront. The event will begin at 7:30 a.m. and will continue until 9:00 a.m. Awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age division, and the top male and female overall finishers will be awarded $500 cash prizes.

6th & Pine Development, managed by Millworks, a commercial real estate development firm based in Long Beach, signed an eleven year lease on Thursday, February 28 with Molina Healthcare to occupy its build-to-suit project encompassing a city block located on Pine Avenue between 6th and 7th streets that includes the former Press-Telegram and Meeker Baker buildings.

On Monday the office of Council Member Robert Garcia and the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA) announced that the Molina Family will serve as Grand Marshal, and local artist Gregorio Luke will be honored as Community Marshal at the 3rd Annual Latin American Parade & Festival on Saturday, September 10, 2011.
