On Saturday, Oct. 3, the Arts Council of Long Beach announced the winners of the third annual Port of Long Beach PHOTOGALLERY competition. This unique program, on exhibit at the Museum of Latin American Art (MoLAA) showcases work by nearly 80 professional and amateur photographers who captured images at the second-busiest port in the nation.
Beauty is not often the first word that comes to mind when discussing the industrial views of the Port of Long Beach. However, that’s exactly what photographers have captured in this year’s Port of Long Beach “PHOTOGALLERY.”
Gregorio Luke will end his summer series “Mural Under the Stars” at the ArtExchange (ArtX) on Saturday, August 23rd from 8pm-midnight. With the urban landscape as the backdrop; attendees will experience an evening of live music, stunning images projected on a large screen, an enlightening lecture, and a chance to view the work of local artists.
