Long Beach New Works Festival
Please join us on September 13 as the Long Beach Playhouse steps back in time to 1943 when this was a Navy town and Stage Door Canteens were the place to be!
The downstairs stage, bar and solarium will be transformed into a USO-type canteen complete with 1940s-era celebrities, a floorshow, casino tables, food, a tattoo parlor, fortune teller and celebrities around every corner.
The Long Beach Playhouse (LBP) is pleased to be the host of AACT’s 2014 winter meeting reception. AACT is an organization dedicated to supporting and developing community theatres throughout the United States. The winter meeting brings together the organization’s board of directors and committees to report on their goals and progress.
One of the most popular programs at the Long Beach Playhouse is its New Works Festival. Conceived more than 20 years, the New Works Festival invites novice and experienced playwrights from all over the world to submit their un-produced plays to the Playhouse’s New Works Literary Committee.
