Long Beach Organic, (LBO) a non-profit that manages 9 community gardens in Long Beach is seeking a buyer for their Wrigley Village Garden, a children’s themed urban oasis developed in 2010 with the help of the City of LB’s Neighborhood Leadership Program’s “Waves4Change” team.
Farm Lot 59 will celebrate the start of summer Saturday, June 14 by hosting “Second Saturday Market Place,” at its own farm located at 2174 California Ave, Long Beach from 10am-1pm. The Second Saturday Market Place will feature farm fresh fare, including organic fruits, vegetables, flowers, and eggs, as well as farm tours, and hot breakfast.
Long Beach Organic (LBO) will host its 4th Annual Garden Tour and Wine Tasting Fundraiser on June 1, 2014. Donors will board a chartered bus and visit four of LBO’s nine community gardens, with garden-fresh food, California wines and live music at each stop.

2010 Nobel Prize Winner in Chemistry, Ei-ichi Negishi
Purdue University Professor Ei-ichi Negishi, co-winner of the 2010 Nobel Prize in chemistry, will present California State University, Long Beach’s (CSULB) 35th Nobel Laureate Lecture on Tuesday, April 8.
