The CSULB Theatre Arts Department University Players is proud to present The Colored Museum, written by George C. Wolfe, music by Kysia Bostic, and directed by Trevor Biship. Playing October 17th through November 1st, The Colored Museum, in a series of vignettes, explores stereotypes through African American stories and history.

Musical Theatre West is proud to announce the cast for Winter Wonderettes , The New ’60s Christmas Musical created by Roger Bean. Winter Wonderettes is the second show of the 59th Season and will perform at the beautiful 1,070-seat Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach for a limited nine performance run from December 9 through December 18, 2011.

Musical Theatre West is proud to announce that it has been nominated for an Ovation Award by LA Stage Alliance for the 2010/2011 awards season. The nominations were announced on Monday, September 19th at the Falcon Theatre in Burbank.

Musical Theatre West is proud to announce the cast for the professional regional premiere of The Wedding Singer directed by Larry Raben at the beautiful 1,070-seat Carpenter Performing Arts Center in Long Beach. The Wedding Singer runs July 9 through July 24, 2011, with a low priced preview on July 8.

Musical Theatre West’s annual fundraiser Broadway in the Park will be held Saturday, August 6, 2011 in the Park Estates area of Long Beach, CA. MTW hopes to raise $150,000 to benefit programs including the Education and Outreach Programs, which reaches over 17,000 young people each year, introducing students to the magic and excitement of live theater through special daytime performances and visits to the classroom.
