Battleship IOWA will once again open after-hours this holiday season for a special viewing of the Annual Los Angeles Harbor Holiday Afloat Parade from its historic deck. This event is held on Saturday, December 5, and will include a visit from Santa Claus, holiday crafts for children, carolers and holiday music, hot cocoa, candy canes and much more.
The CIty of Long Beach to begin repair of the Naples seawalls this week.
The City of Long Beach will begin constructing new seawalls this week along one portion of the Rivo Alto Canal in Naples Island. The section stretches from the Ravenna Bridge to the eastern portion of The Toledo Bridge, about 1,900 linear feet between the north and south sides.

The 31st Annual Belmont Shore Christmas Parade comes to town Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This year’s parade is on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, so the theme, Christmas by the Sea, will support the troops, honor America’s veterans and remember Pearl Harbor.
