Schipske Calls Public Meeting Regarding Hawaiian Gardens Traffic Proposals

traffic-light Fifth Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske will host a public meeting with the community on June 11 at Newcomb Academy to discuss concerns over Hawaiian Gardens’ changes to intersection near El Dorado Park Estates. Schipske issued the following statement after learning that the City of Hawaiian Gardens, which borders the El Dorado Park Estates area of her council district has released plans showing an extension of 226th Street westward to connect with Pioneer Boulevard; the removal of a portion of a cinder block fence and tree at Pioneer Boulevard; and the placement of a 4-way stop on the Long Beach side of Pioneer Boulevard to mitigate the increased traffic coming from 226th Street on to Pioneer:
