gang suspects arrested On Friday, March 23, 2012, at approximately 8:45 a.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department responded to Poly High School after a student fell ill after consuming a brownie laced with marijuana. It was determined that a student at the school sold brownies to several students at the direction of an adult male, and the investigation that followed resulted in three arrests.

Poly Students Take 2nd Place in Solar Boating Competition

Last weekend, 15 students from Long Beach Poly High School competed against 40 other Southern California teams in the Metropolitan Water District’s Ninth Annual Solar Cup Boat Race Competition at Lake Skinner, located in Temecula Valley.

Two Local High School Divers Win CIF Diving Titles!

Deon_Reid_Head_Shot Deon Reid Two Long Beach High School divers have earned consecutive CIF Championships in Diving this week, bringing great honor to Long Beach high school sports and to the city of Long Beach. Junior Deon Reid of Long Beach Poly High School, a third year varsity high school diver, won his second CIF division title at the Riverside Aquatics Complex on Tuesday, May10th, and is now the reigning Division Two Boy’s Champion.
