The streets of Downtown Long Beach will again be filled with revelers ringing in the new year on Tuesday, December 31 for the annual New Year’s Eve celebration produced and co-sponsored by the Downtown Long Beach Associated (DLBA).
The culture and sustainability series Summer And Music (SAM) presents The Olms, Song Preservation Society, The Blank Tapes, Mystic Rabbit and DJ Dennis Owens on Saturday, July 20, 2013. The Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA), in partnership with The Pike at Rainbow Harbor, presents this free family-friendly summer concert on the lawn in front of the iconic Pike Ferris wheel.

Long Beach Bikeway 17 is a commuter route that connects uptown to downtown, largely by traveling along Orange Avenue as it turns into Alamitos Avenue and then Shoreline Drive, eventually crossing over the Queens Way Bridge.
The Pike at Rainbow Harbor and the Breast Center at the MemorialCare Todd Cancer Institute at Long Beach Memorial have teamed up for National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. For the month of October, valets at the Pike will be collecting donations to help expand breast cancer research and prevention programs at Long Beach Memorial.
Come aboard the largest sailing event in Southern California when Strictly Sail Long Beach (formerly the Long Beach Boat & Yacht Show) debuts at Shoreline Village in Rainbow Harbor (401 Shoreline Village Drive, Long Beach) Thursday, October 18 through Sunday, October 21.
On Saturday, June 30, from 1 to 6 p.m., at Rainbow Harbor Amphitheater, five of Southern California’s most respected tribute bands will perform in head–to–head competition for $3,500 in cash prizes and tribute fame at Summer And Music’s (SAM) fourth annual Battle of the Tribute Bands.
The three Long Beach Marinas – Shoreline, Rainbow and Alamitos Bay – have been re-certified as “Clean Marinas” by the Clean Marinas Program, a partnership of private marinas, government marinas and yacht clubs that promotes best environmental practices throughout California.
