Long Beach Ramona Park

The City of Long Beach today celebrated the grand opening of Ramona Park Apartments, a two-story, 61-unit rental complex that will provide affordable, quality housing for low- and very low-income seniors. Together with The Long Beach Community Investment Company (LBCIC), Palm Communities, and Western Community Housing, the City is proud to open the doors to this warm and contemporary senior living community.

Despite funding delays that put new many redevelopment projects on hold statewide, Tuesday’s groundbreaking is a sign that affordable housing is a priority in Long Beach. The development of Ramona Park Senior Apartments at 3290 East Artesia Boulevard in North Long Beach will take shape to help meet the demand for affordable housing options for seniors.

Long Beach Parks, Recreation & Marine offers many recreation programs at the six programmed parks in the 9th City Council District. Residents can view monthly calendars of events for each 9th District park on the Department’s website.

Long Beach Development Services (LBDS) has completed a Negative Declaration for the Ramona Park Senior Apartments project located on the South side of Artesia Boulevard between Indiana and Obispo Avenues. The Negative Declaration determines the nature and extent of the proposed project’s impact upon the surrounding environment, and is available for public review and comment.
