Farm Lot 59 will celebrate the start of summer Saturday, June 14 by hosting “Second Saturday Market Place,” at its own farm located at 2174 California Ave, Long Beach from 10am-1pm. The Second Saturday Market Place will feature farm fresh fare, including organic fruits, vegetables, flowers, and eggs, as well as farm tours, and hot breakfast.
The Big Bite Bacon Fest is the foodie sensation of Southern California this summer with two sizzling salty festivals at the San Diego County Fair on July 5 and the Queen Mary in Long Beach on August 2. Bacon chefs of all skill levels and ages are invited to submit to compete in the second annual battle of the Bacon Dish Contests at both festivals.
