Long Beach Restoration Trade Fair
You can’t open a paper or turn on a TV these days without hearing the word, ‘makeover.’ Everyone is redoing their personal spaces from the ground up; both inside and out. Homeowners, and those who aspire to owning property, often have a daunting challenge when it comes to navigating the processes of starting new projects—whether it’s picking a subcontractor for a big job or selecting paint to do it themselves.
You’ve got the bungalow, the yard, the walkability factor, your bike is parked in the garage and there’s a coffeehouse just around the corner. You’ve been reading Cottages and Bungalows magazine and your pumped to spiff up your casa.
Flip no more. Home restoration is the new sustainable lifestyle. Now in its third year, the family-friendly 2010 Restoration Trade Fair event—Sunday, September 19, 2010 —will bring together city personnel knowledgeable in the historic preservation permit process, specialty contractors and vendors and experts on historic district lifestyle issues.
This annual one-day event reaching 600+ homeowners living in historic districts seeks experienced tradesmen and artisans knowledgeable in using their skills to restore historic structures. In addition to our current vendors we’d like to include specialists in tile, tile repair, period glass, decorative arts, wrought iron, sheet metal/copper, masonry, plaster and cabinetry.
