Santa Claus is coming to Uptown! All are invited to celebrate the holiday season and see Houghton Park transformed into the North Pole. Cookies will be served, toys will be given away to good boys and girls, and yes, there will be snow and Santa Claus.

Fifth District families are in for a treat with live caroling and musical performances, real snow and sledding, holiday contests, storytelling, and visits from Santa Claus and the Grinch at the Winter Wonderland event at Good Neighbor Park December 13-14.
The 31st Annual Belmont Shore Christmas Parade comes to town Saturday, December 7, 2013 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. This year’s parade is on Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, so the theme, Christmas by the Sea, will support the troops, honor America’s veterans and remember Pearl Harbor.
Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske and The Long Beach Parks, Recreation and Marine are hosting the Fifth District Winter Wonderland at Good Neighbor Park December 13-14, complete with real snow, snow sleds, holiday contests, live music and visits from Santa Claus and The Grinch.

On Dec. 10, the patients and families of Miller Children’s Hospital Long Beach gathered at the annual Santa’s Workshop to become Santa’s little helpers and celebrate the season of giving.
The Christmas Tree Lane parade may have already marched into the twilight, but the fun continues in this festive area of Wrigley with holiday events all month long.
Additional Daisy Avenue Entertainment Nights are planned for December 14th-December 16th starting at 7:00 p.m.

Today marks the start of the Postal Service’s annual “Letters to Santa” program, a campaign that’s helped fulfill the holiday wishes of children and their families for nearly a century.
