The Aquarium of the Pacific has organized a citizen science project to monitor a population of green sea turtles living in the San Gabriel River in Long Beach.
The rehabilitated turtle was fitted with a GPS-enabled satellite tag before it was released.
This spring the Aquarium of the Pacific rehabilitated and released an endangered green sea turtle that is now equipped with a tracking device.
After several weeks of care at the Aquarium, this rescued sea turtle was released back into the ocean.
The Aquarium provided care for a green sea turtle that was found last month inside Shoreline Marina in Long Beach, California.
