Long Beach Crime On February 18, 2015, charges were filed on five (5) individuals in connection to a multiple victim shooting that occurred last Sunday in the 200 block of W. 14th Street.

When officers arrived, they discovered a male adult subject who had been struck in the torso by gunfire.

Armed Man Shot by Police During Missing Person Investigation

Detectives Seek Suspect(s) In Murder of West Covina Man

crime-scene-tape-lg On Sunday, September 28, 2014, at approximately 1:25 a.m., Long Beach Police responded to a shots fired call in the area of 11th Street and Walnut Avenue, which resulted in the death of a male adult. The preliminary investigation determined that the victim, identified as 26-year-old Guillermo Iturralde of West Covina, was walking down the street when someone in a nearby vehicle fired at him, and then fled the scene.

Murder Suspect Arrested and Charged

Long Beach Crime On Sunday, July 27, 2014, detectives from the Long Beach Police Department arrested 21-year-old long beach resident Jemar Welch in the 300 block of Lime Avenue for the murder of Alexander Johnson. Johnson was struck by gunfire on Friday, July 18, 2014, in the 2100 block of Earl Avenue.

Police Search For Suspect and Vehicle Involved in Murder

When officers arrived, they located the victim, identified as 25-year-old Alexander Johnson III of Long Beach, who had been struck in the upper body by gunfire.

Police Investigate Two Recent Homicides

The preliminary investigation indicated the victim was walking away from a parked vehicle when the suspect(s) fired multiple rounds, striking him in the upper torso.
