On Saturday, September 14th the Derby Gals will play their much anticipated third bout of the season in their brand new space at Crafted at the Port of Los Angeles (Warehouse 10, 112 E 22nd St, Los Angeles, CA 90731). Titled “Mama Said Knock You Bout”, the game will pit Gallagher’s Breakwater Bombshells against the Pike Restaurant’s Cyclone Racers.
Bring your drum for a community drum circle featuring the world-class west african beats of female drumming group ADAAWE.
Those who follow the beat of their own drum aren’t alone. Drummers from across Long Beach will gather to experience the world-class beats of female percussion group Adaawe for an evening of community drumming, fire dancing, soul food, and a celebration of peace.
Its been a great second season for the Long Beach Roller Derby. Lots of exciting action and close hard fought games featuring the fearless women on the old school roller skates with the fun nicknames and their new banked track.
It has been a great 2011 season for the Long Beach Roller Derby. Every bout on their new banked track has been better and more exciting than the last. In the last game at the Queen Mary Dome the newest team the Belmont Hot Broads were narrowly defeated by the by the Bixby Rollerettes who are now in sole possession of first place.
Yoga will concede to dance for one night on Saturday, October 16, 2010, as The Infinite yoga and movement center present Tribal: Infinite Style, a dance showcase featuring an exciting variety of choreography and dance styles performed by a few of The Infinite’s instructors.

The Second Saturday Art Walk takes place each month in Long Beach’s East Village on Linden Avenue, 1st Street, Broadway and Elm. Art galleries, shops and restaurants extend their hours for visitors to wander, discover and enjoy the arts community late into the night.
