Improvements Underway Along Shoreline Drive, Will Provide Better Beach Access

Street Projects Begin in West Long Beach; Expect Detours

4 Neighborhood Repair Projects Start Work in the 5th District

Barbanel street improvement project This section of Barbanel Street was severely degraded with lifted gutters that cause standing water issues after rain and neighborhood watering. During the summer of 2012, Fifth District residents were invited to help identify areas most in need of infrastructure repair through a series of meetings and an online survey ranking system introduced by Councilwoman Gerrie Schipske.

Improvements to 7th Street On The Way

road construction on ocean blvd An approximately 1-mile section of 7th Street, between Alamitos Avenue and Junipero Avenue, will be improved with new asphalt pavement, paver crosswalks and the extension of a traffic signal interconnect system to better manage traffic flow.
