A community celebration is taking place on Sunday, June 9th on Long Beach Boulevard in North Long Beach, with live music, cultural dances, kids’ activities and a mural dedication.
All of this is part of the new Second Sundays in the Village, a free community event organized in partnership between Eighth District Councilmember Al Austin and the Virginia Village Business Association, to celebrate the revitalized Long Beach Boulevard corridor and develop a stronger partnership between the neighborhoods and the local businesses.
The Long Beach Redevelopment Agency (RDA) is pleased to announce the Long Beach Boulevard Streetscape Improvement project from Del Amo Boulevard to 56th Street will be completed on schedule and under budget, which allows for the expansion of the project.
