Long Beach Summer Camps and Classes
Keep your child busy with a day, a week or a month of fun activities. Summer camps offer a safe, nurturing environment for children to try new experiences, learn new skills and make new friends. No matter what they find interesting, there is a summer camp designed to explore the topic — sports, ocean adventures, historical immersion, science or academia, dance, drama and more. The most important thing is to sign up early, because most of these summer camps fill up fast!
From August 18-22, Grace Brethren Church will be hosting a Neighborhood Day Camp run by Forest Home, a Christian retreat center located in the mountains east of Los Angeles. The Day Camp will feature high adventure recreation, small groups and lessons, skits, and creative activities on the Grace campus in Bixby Knolls.
Don’t let your kids fall in the rut of playing video games or chatting with friends online all summer. Instead, sign them up for a week… or six weeks of summer camp! Los Altos United Methodist Church in Long Beach is offering day camp for Kindergarten through 5th grade.

The California State University, Long Beach (CSULB) Science Education Department will host its annual Young Scientists’ Camp, a paid summer science camp for any child in second through eighth grade, plus high school girls in any grade, from Aug.
