On Saturday, April 2, Ambassador of Americana Charles Phoenix returns to Fourth Street’s Retro Row for a new installment of LONG BEACHLAND — his live comedy slide show performance celebrating all the wonderful, weird, and historic elements that make Long Beach everyone’s favorite city-by-the-sea.
Celebrate our epic City by the Sea and experience a whole new side of Long Beach as Ambassador of Americana Charles Phoenix sweeps you away on a time travel adventure extravaganza through Long Beach’s past and present! With his gracious sense of humor, unbridled enthusiasm, and keen eye for oddball detail, Charles will reveal his guide to underrated, undiscovered and overlooked local landmarks through the very best of his found vintage slides of Long Beach.
Beginning on Friday, June 20, the Art Theater of Long Beach will be screening the internationally acclaimed film, Ida, starring Agata Kulesza, Agata Trezbuchowska, and Dawid Ogrodnik. The first viewing begins at 1pm Friday, June 20th, 2014 and will run every two hours after, until 9pm.
