More than 50 youth, all members of the Long Beach Weed and Seed Program, went on the trip. They volunteered a day of service and received a free day at Disney per the “Give a Day, Get a Day” ticket program.

Dee-Andrews-Garden As a kick-off to the City of Long Beach Peace Week activities, Councilman Dee Andrews will be breaking ground on the Community Peace Garden.  The event will take place on Saturday, January 9th at 4:30 PM on the east side of the Central Facilities Building at Martin Luther King Jr.

6th District Youth Talent Show: Auditions August 13

The try-outs for the youth talent show are scheduled for Thursday, August 13, from 2:30 pm to 5:00 pm and the finals will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2009 from 1:00 p.m.
