Sixth District Councilman Dee Andrews, along with the Long Beach Department of Parks, Recreation & Marine, Long Beach Department of Health and Human Services, St. Mary Medical Center, Long Beach Branch NAACP, Long Beach Ministers Alliance, Long Beach Boys & Girls Club and Long Beach YMCA will host the Annual Juneteenth Celebration, from 11:00 am – 2:30 pm, on Saturday, June 16th, at Martin Luther King, Jr.
The public is invited to a free ‘Let’s Move Long Beach! health and wellness fair complete with zumba dancing on Saturday, March 24, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at 604 Pine Ave.
“This wellness fair will bring together several local programs to help improve the community’s health through physical activity, eating right and having fun,” Mayor Bob Foster said.
