LBACA leads free asthma workshop at Mark Twain Library

Anaheim Street Community Police Center will host a presentation from the Long Beach Alliance For Children With Asthma on Tuesday, February 16 from 5:00 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. at Mark Twain Library.

Together We Can Control Asthma will include topics such as: learning about the medications, triggers, gadgets and symptoms of asthma as well as about what to do when asthma symptoms get worse.

In addition to the on Tuesday, LBACA offers asthma educational twice a month to help those with respitory problems understand what asthma is, how to identify triggers, asthma signs, asthma medications and gadgets, and how to work with your provider.

Mark Twain Library is located at 1401 East Anaheim Street. Free parking is available in the parking lot.

The Long Beach Alliance for Children with Asthma, started in 1999, is a partnership to improve the lives of children with asthma in the Long Beach community. LBACA operates an asthma resource center and also teams up with communities to develop asthma-friendly environments and policies. The Alliance is active in mobilizing the community to respond to issues, both indoors and outdoors.
