Long Beach City College has implemented a new web-based system that will easily allow the public to access all agenda documents and review Board of Trustees’ votes and other actions online.
The “BoardDocs” system was introduced at the Tuesday (Jan. 27) Board of Trustees meeting.
“Conducting the College’s business in an open and transparent way is a top priority for us,” said LBCC Superintendent-President Eloy Ortiz Oakley. “Our new web-based system is very easy to use for anyone with a computer, smart phone or tablet.”
Members of the public can read agendas and supporting documents through BoardDocs’ user-friendly platform. Trustee votes are recorded in real time and will be posted online the same evening as the meeting. Audience members at the meetings can follow the agenda by viewing the display screen inside the Board of Trustees meeting room.
BoardDocs will also help LBCC become more efficient and environmentally friendly by avoiding the need to print hard copies of the agenda packets.
Agendas can be found at the LBCC website www.lbcc.edu/geninfo_board.cfm under “Meeting Agendas/Minutes.”
