LBFD 55th Annual Fireworks Show Lights Up Alamitos Bay this Year

Long Beach Firefighter’s Memorial Association will host the 55th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Show at Alamitos Bay Yacht Club! This year’s Fireworks will be presented over the water in Alamitos Bay.
The band Assisted Living returns to the show again this year to offer up live music for the crowd.
Food, provided by Firehouse Chefs, is included in the ticket price. Attendees will dine on Tri-tip and chicken, Mules Beans, cole slaw, and Mike’s Stinky Tater Tots. Beer, wine, and margaritas will also be available for purchase provided by the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club.
There will be a silent auction with items for auction provided by McKenna’s on the Bay, Legend’s, Firehouse Chefs, HB Crusiers and others.
The 55th Annual 4th of July Fireworks Show will take place on July 3, 2012 at the Alamitos Bay Yacht Club, 7201 East Ocean Boulevard, Long Beach. The doors to the show will open at 4:00pm with limited VIP parking available for $10.

Long Beach Firemen’s Memorial Association is a non-profit organization made up of volunteer firefighters and their families. The organization supports Long Beach Search and Rescue, LBFD Kids, Boy Scouts of America, local sports teams, and special events for firefighters’ families.

It’s too bad the price had to go up like that. There are a lot of families that will not be able to afford it. It’s not much money for that much food, but we always brought our own food.
I miss the police dogs at Vet’s Stadium. The whole thing was more family friendly when our girls were kids. Hope it goes back to that someday, but I doubt it will.
Tickets are sold out at the yacht club for this event BUT Mckenna’s is holding a party just across the bay with funds/proceeds going back to the LB Fire Department Memorial Association as well.

i don’t understand the need to charge $25 for a fireworks show. shouldn’t it be visible for everyone regardless?
Really dissappointed that after so many years a Long Beach tradition was moved. Bring back 4th of July Firework’s Show to Veteran’s Stadium!
Hi I wanted to congratulate someone/anyone who put this fireworks show on. The one at Vets Stadium was hard to get into and doesn’t now exist. The Queen Marys’ fireworks is always covered over by the smoke from the fireworks if you are on the Ocean Avenue side. Now (FINALLY) we have one that can be clearly seen for free by all in Belmont Shore, Naples, Alamitos Heights, Belmont Heights, Marina Pacifica, etc. and probably a lot of Seal Beach even if you don’t go the yacht club or McKenna’s! We saw it from our balcony and it was spectacular! Will walk down to the bay next time (WE HOPE THERE WILL BE A NEXT TIME!!!!!!). Thank you LB Fire Dept. and who ever else was evolved with this wonderful show. Oh, additionally, we did not have much neighborhood illegal fireworks popping on the 3rd & 4th, so maybe this fireworks show gave the kids and adults the “fireworks fix” they needed without endangering roofs/property.
