The Long Beach Central Project Area Council, Inc. (LB CPAC) will hold its regular monthly meeting at 6pm on Thursday, May 7, 2015, on the 11th floor of Plymouth West, 240 Chestnut Ave., Long Beach, CA 90802.

LB CPAC members have a keen interest in the City’s budget process. The police budget is a particularly important component of that budget. The process for the FY 16 budget is now under way. Braden Phillips, Administration Bureau Chief for the LBPD will talk about the FY 16 police department budget and the possible impacts that budget will have on the LBPD and the community. This is a key opportunity to discuss the budget while it is being developed.

Everyone in Long Beach is invited to attend. In addition to the main topic, there will be opportunities for members of the community to briefly address the group about other concerns and issues.

The Long Beach Central Project Area Council, Inc. (LB CPAC) replaces the Central Project Area Committee for Redevelopment which ceased to exist in 2012 when Redevelopment Agencies were eliminated by Governor Brown.

All are welcome to attend the meetings and the group is actively recruiting new members. There are individual, business and community group categories of membership.
