LBPD Investigates Sunday Night Murder

crime-scene-tape victim Dennis SeagravesOn Sunday, October 31, 2010 at approximately 9:40 p.m., officers from the Long Beach Police Department were dispatched to the 2300 block of Delta Avenue in response to a call that shots had been fired, which resulted in the death of an adult male.

When officers arrived at the location, they found a male victim suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. The victim was transported by Long Beach Fire Department paramedics to a local hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The victim has been identified as Dennis Seagraves, a 21-year-old resident of Long Beach.

The suspect was described as an adult male who fled the scene in a vehicle, and was last seen traveling eastbound on Burnett Street.
