Changing Channels: City’s cable station, LBTV, moves to channel 3

Beginning Tuesday, January 26, the City’s cable television channel, LBTV, will be moved from channel 8 to channel 3 on the Charter Communications cable programming lineup.

This move is part of Charter’s plan to standardize the channel lineups serving all of its Southern California communities.  The Long Beach library channel will move as well from channel 63 to channel 97.

Through original programming and continuing news and City Council meeting coverage, LBTV links the City’s diverse population with its civic center and neighborhoods.  LBTV is committed to informing, educating and entertaining Long Beach residents.

In addition to its new placement on the Charter Communications lineup, LBTV can be viewed on Verizon FiOS channel 21 in Long Beach, and on the Internet 24-hours a day at
